The university organized an awareness workshop focused on preventing smoking within all university campuses and educating students and staff about its serious health risks. The workshop aimed to promote a healthy and smoke-free academic environment, highlighting the negative effects of smoking on the respiratory system, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being.
Specialists from the College of Medicine and the Health and Safety Unit presented scientific data and preventive strategies, emphasizing the importance of early awareness, support for quitting smoking, and creating a campus culture that prioritizes health and wellness.
This initiative supports the university’s commitment to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, by fostering a cleaner, safer, and healthier learning environment for all members of the academic community.
